Beginning January 1, 2006, Medicare offered insurance coverage for prescription drug is through Medicare Prescription Drug Plans and other health plan options with coverage through Medicare have to make a decision about prescription coverage.

What is Medicare prescription drug coverage?
Medicare prescription drug coverage helps cover your prescription drug costs. You must choose a plan to get this coverage. You pay a monthly premium. If you have limited income and resources, you may get this coverage for little or no cost.
