There are two Plans under the Southern California Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Fund:

Southern California Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Fund Active Plan
For Participants working under Collective Bargaining Agreements with District Council #16, to Signatory Employers, to Employees working under Participation Agreements, and to Eligible Dependents. The Health & Welfare Active Plan provides Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Weekly Accident & Sickness, Death and/or Dismemberment benefits for its Participants & Eligible Dependents.

Southern California Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Fund Pensioners &
Surviving Spouses Plan
For Pensioners formerly covered under the Health & Welfare Fund Active Plan. The Pensioners & Surviving Spouses Plan provide Medical & Prescription benefits for its Participants & Eligible Dependents.

Blue Shield of California
Effective April 1, 2009, The Southern California Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Fund teamed up with Blue Shield of California to reduce plan costs while expanding the network of providers available to Plan Participants. < read more >
