Information for Contributing Employers

The Board of Trustees of the Landscape, Irrigation and Lawn Sprinkler Industry Trust Funds maintains both your health and welfare and retirement benefits for eligible participants and their covered dependents. 

The Southern California Pipe Trades Administrative Corporation administers benefits to your employees under collective bargaining agreements between Southern California Pipe Trades District Council #16 of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada AFL-CIO and the employers in the plumbing and pipefitting industry in Southern California through the Landscape, Irrigation and Lawn Sprinkler Industry.

District Council No. 16 is a part of the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO (UA) and is composed of local unions in Southern California. United Association (UA). 

Local Union No. 345 is affiliated with District Council No. 16 for Landscape employers.

Employee union dues are included in the contributions sent to the SCPTAC. The Employer must deduct the proper dues amount from pay and remit it to the SCPTAC with the monthly contribution reporting. Click here for a list of Contribution Payment Methods.

Defined Contribution Pension Plan

Southern California Pipe Trades Defined Contribution Fund 401(k) Plan

Eligible participants are also permitted to participate in the Southern California Pipe Trades Defined Contribution Fund 401(k) plan. Employers must automatically deduct from their wages pre-tax 401(k) contributions in the amount of $0.50 per hour for every hour worked unless they opt-out. The Southern California Pipe Trades Defined Contribution Fund recordkeeper is John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. Employees may register or log into their SCPT Defined Contribution 401(k) accounts with John Hancock at myplan.johnhancock.com. For details, they may call John Hancock representatives at (833) 388-6466.
